About - John Vashon, Founder

  • Experience - We currently own 5 MHPs in N. California and one out of state
    totaling 300+ spaces.  We are responsible for all offsite management
    including, accounting, marketing, personnel, legal, etc...  We purchased our
    first MHP in 2004 and started working in the business full-time in 2007.   
  • Introduction to MHPs - I was introduced to the MHP business by a friend
    in college who's father owned several parks in N. California (today he owns
    one and nets $240K a year - not a bad retirement income!)  Several years
    later when I had money to invest, I was more comfortable with single family
    homes and by 2003, owned 6 rentals which produced $0 annual cash flow!  
    Faced with the need to continue working my "day job" for another 15 years
    to pay down the mortgages, I called my old friend and asked his help to
    learn the MHP business.  Over the last 5 years, we sold  the rentals and
    completed 1031 exchanges into 6 MHPs.
  • Education/Work Experience - After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree
    in Finance and Economics from California State University at Chico, in 1982,
    I worked in the software business for 25 years and lived and worked in
    several cities around the country.  
  • Personal - I've been married and living in the Pleasanton/Livermore area of
    N. California for the past 20 years and have no children. I turned 50 years
    young this year and can think of no better legacy than to help a small group
    of partners learn the MHP business and like my friend's father, enjoy
    financial freedom and security through their retirement years!
